Impact Monitoring - Why?

The manual is part of DDG’s mission to ensure that mine action efficiency results in impact effectiveness and it is based on the recognition of a need to develop a methodology to more acurately measure the actual impact of mine action activities on people’s lives and livelihoods along with their sense of safety and security.

Whatever the outcome of such impact measurement might be - it will be valuable lessons learned for the organisation and will be used for future planning and prioritisation of tasks, while greater coordination of activities between mine action and other development initiatives is achieved.

One of the methods forward will be through the implementation of the DDG Impact Monitoring Manual.

As part of DDG’s policy for transparency, along with exchange and dissemination of information, this manual is made free for all those interested to use.

We hope our partners, fellow colleagues, friends and new visitors to our organisation around the world can make use of it, be inspired and find assistance in proceeding with the daily work for which they are responsible.

You can download the manual from this page, either as a zip-folder containing the manual and annexes, or you can download the manual and annexes separately.

Any questions or suggestions to the manual should be put to ddg@remove-this.drc.dk
