DDG appeals to traditional leaders after kidnapping in Somalia

A humanitarian appeal issued by Danish Demining Group (DDG) yields widespread support from traditional leaders in Somalia.

The appeal was issued on 28 October 2011 in Somalia as part of DDG’s efforts to reach out to Somali communities. DDG aims at mobilizing support and awareness among traditional leaders, elders, and clan representatives, to facilitate a quick and safe release of the two international DDG employees who were kidnapped on 25 October 2011 in Galkayo.
